We have Internet!!!!

Yeah!!!!!! So it has only taken us a month and several aweful companies to finally get the much needed High Speed Internet. But we have made some great friends here in Texas whom just happen to work for AT&T. I don't know if he was just a miracle worker or what but this 3rd attempt at establishing internet through them has worked! So lets all dance in our seats and celebrate the fact that I can now update my blog!!!

Okay latest and greatest baby news...I had an appointment yesterday with my perinatologist and it went wonderfully. They did a scan of Caitlyn and she is measuring pretty close to right on track, weighing in at an estimated 4lbs. 9oz.. She has flipped again and is head down AGAIN!! We just hope she will stay put but she is incrediably active and well I wouldn't be suprised if she does the flip flop thing each week for a bit. They then measured my cervix to see if the contractions I had been having are sending me into preterm labor... GOOD NEWS... my cervix has grown :) last appointment it was 2.6cm and yesterdays appointment it was a wopping 3.5cm (for those who need it longer is better). They were all very excited and said whatever I am doing right now (weekly 17P shots, 5mg Terbutaline every 8hrs, and trying to stay off my feet) is working great and keep it up!! They also did another fFN test which came back negative so hopefully another 2 weeks at least. The best part was they are so confident this little one is not coming out yet that they released me back to my OB so no more peri visits!!!

So the game plan from here on out is continuing the meds until 35-36weeks and then let nature run its course... My delivery date prediction for fun is March 24th, I will be 37 weeks and thats when I delivered jojo so I think its good girl karma. Here is the latest belly shot I took at 32 weeks, I think my body is starting to max out because I don't see a big difference. I'll take a better pic on monday as I am getting my hair done for my birthday and will have to show it off too!!!

P.S. Yes, I know I am pastey and need to get out in the Texas sun :)

Sorry I am MIA

okay well after the latest and greatest Internet drama, we are yet again waiting for a modem to show up and for the time being are using Dial-up (which totally rocks). SO this will be a really quick update. I am 32weeks today, wahoo!!!! have a dr. appt on friday and am excited to see Caitlyn again. I have been having a few contraction during the day but most of the consistent annoying ones happen at night, which if they are doing anything to my cervix may result in more meds to try to stop them. My last fFN test on 2/11 came back negative which was good and my cervix had only shortened a small amount with little funneling so they were feeling confident that the 17P shots were doing there thing. Other than that I am getting bigger and more uncomfortable with every squirm this little one makes. Dave is doing great and is really starting to get into a selling groove. The two tornadoes are doing great and have been adjusting really really well. I will update with pics and such once we have real Internet.

Quick Baby UPDATE!!

Just got back from the peri- Good News first: Caitlyn looks wonderful she is measuring a few days ahead and is already at 3lbs, her HB was 155bpm and she was very active.
Bad News: My cervix is short and gets shorter with pressure..So with my previous history they gave me steriod shot for Caitlyn's lung development and gave me my first of hopefully many 17P injections. They also did the FFN test to see if I will likely deliver in the next 14days, but I won't know results on that until friday. I was pretty much told to sit on my butt and not do much until I get the results back from the FFN test. I see my regular OB next fri and then the peri again the following week. So send your prayers this way that Caitlyn will stay cooking in me for several more weeks.

Here is a pic from my sono at the peri's

First taste of Texas Winter

Well Dave and I have officially had our first taste of what winter in Texas means... here are pics from the ice storm that hit us last night. Fortunately most of it is melting this afternoon.
Last Night:

This morning:

Our poor cars had the brunt of it too, as we still have alot of boxes in our small garage... oh joy!!

Quick Update

Okay we now officially have Internet!!!! Yeah life is really hard without online access. So just a quick update on us since I know you all think we have disappeared.

Last Monday I had my dr. appt and it went really well, I really like my new dr. and she seems to be very on the ball with all the test and lab work she ran just in that first visit. She is referring me to a Perinatologist (i.e. High Risk Dr) that I will be seeing tomorrow, mainly for closer monitoring and possibly some P17 shots which may help me carry Caitlyn closer to full term. So for now I will see both dr. alternating weeks (Oh boy a dr. visit with ultrasounds every week).

We received our furniture on Saturday, and I am so so so grateful for my bed.. it was amazing how much we had missed just sitting on couch or even watching a movie on a TV rather than a laptop. We have spent most of the last few days unpacking and getting things organized so I will post pictures of our place soon.

We also had DISH and Internet installed so my poor hubby and little tornadoes have something other than me to entertain them. Its been nice to catch-up on everyones blogs without having to wait an hour for the site to actually show.

Jocelyn and Ethan seem to be adjusting well but have caught some sort of bug or virus as they both had low grade fevers this morning. It could have been the weather change which was 80 degrees this last Friday but has now changed to freezing rain/drizzle today.

Dave is a trooper and has been trying to get out and sell more consistently now that things are finally getting settled. He sold 6 accounts yesterday BUT not one passed credit and from what he said on the phone they all seemed pretty bummed that they didn't pass credit as they really wanted the system. He is out selling today but will most likely be home early before the roads get to bad, he's hoping that since most places closed due to the weather, more people will be home. I sure do love my husband he is such a great man and a hard worker.

So okay I think that is the latest news on our end.. I will try to get some pictures and such up in the next couple days so you can see our place.

We are HERE!!!!

Okay so technically we don't have our modem for Internet yet.. but we have a very nice neighbor who doesn't have a secured wireless network (so we are borrowing). We are here in Texas and I love the house.. Dave did such a great job. Our furniture just barely got packed on Wednesday soooo it looks like we will be a few days without comfort. The area is great and we are really close to the necessities :) Jo, E and Misha did great on the car ride. Surprisingly enough we made really great time with stops and all. This week we will be getting most of our set-up grocery, furniture, Internet and such done. The guys that came out this week for the Sales Blitz week have been doing great so we are really excited about Dave being able to get out there next week when he has clothes. I have a dr. appt on Monday so I will try to update you all after that.

3-D Ultrasound today!!

All I can say is 3-D ultrasounds are the coolest thing ever, it was amazing seeing Caitlyn all folded up in there. She is still in the breech position (head up by my ribs and mostly bum down by my hips) which actually is perfectly fine with me, hopefully since she is my first baby to ever be breech maybe she will stay in there and cook longer. Anyways we got 43 pictures of our cute little girl and it was fun for the kids to see her face.

Just for fun we were looking at Jo's newborn pic and Caitlyn's ultrasound pic...they look pretty similar, what do you think?

Looks like we have a house :)

Yea!!!! Dave went out there today and walked through this house and it looks like it will be just perfect for our family. Its a 5 bed 3.5 bath house with about 3400sq ft of room for our little tornadoes. This is such a huge relief for me to know we aren't just going to drive out there and be stranded. Through a random occurrence Dave found out this area is very desirable and that it is a pretty much the Texas version to the Eagle Mountain area. Driving around the neighborhood he found out that they are building a new LDS meetinghouse about 1.5 miles away from this place, scheduled to be done this summer. Honestly the Lord is watching over every step of this move because we couldn't have planned it any better. I'll update you all more as it comes together..but e-mail us for our new address.

We're moving to TEXAS

Well to make a long story short, Dave has truly been blessed from working at Pinnacle and they have given us new opportunity for a little bit more of a stable life style. So since about the first part of December we have been working out details of where and when, but have finally come to the brass tacks. We are moving to the Fort Worth, TX area on January 13th. Dave is going out there next week to look at some of the houses we have found online and solidify a place before we move. Although I am a bit nervous about the logistics of being in my 3rd trimester and trying to find a new Dr. in a city that I know not a soul.. I am excited for the adventure my family and I will have. We will miss all of our friends and family, BUT we know this most likely isn't forever..just a fun break. I'll update you with more info as it comes together.

Let it Snow!!! and some Pre-Christmas Pics

Well when they said expect 4-8 inches of snow I think they meant closer to a foot.. and guess what it is still snowing... So I thought I would share some of our snow fun with you all.
Jocelyn and Dave worked very hard on this snowman.. too bad Misha ate the nose and the mouth.
What a cute little snow bunny :) Ethan has a cold so we kept him inside and only went out when he was taking his nap, poor guy.

Misha really enjoys the snow.. go figure

Okay so we took these on Sunday but they are just too cute for words (I am partial :))

Jocelyn's Preschool Christmas Program

Today was Jocelyn's Preschool Christmas Program and as excited as she was in the car to be a building block in one of the songs, she lost the excitement once we got to the Legacy Center. After a good while of coaxing and tears she finally sat on her teachers lap for the performance. She really didn't do much other than sit there until the last few songs of the program... so we decided to do mostly pictures so you don't have to watch a full hour worth of her sitting.

And of course after it was all said and done she was as happy as can be and couldn't wait to get her candy cane. We said a special thanks to her preschool teacher Mrs. Cochran for helping smooth out the situation. Ethan was a lucky little guy and got to try on sisters costume for a photo opt. What a couple of cuties.

My Tuesday Adventure ;)

Okay so finally after a few snow storms roll through the area we get snow about 3-4inches on the ground...wahoo!! Jocelyn and Ethan decided that before we venture out to take Jo to preschool a little time playing in the fresh snow was needed...not sure if they were dancing or doing karate but it was cute anyways.

This is where the adventure for my day began, so we live on this wonderful hill now which is not that big of a deal for us as we are located right after the turn in the road so snow doesn't pose too much of an issue...However, after picking Jo up from preschool and heading home we discovered that it apparently was a big deal for this work truck with a trailer. As we were driving up to the house we saw him drive past leaving from what I thought was my driveway. Come to find out after the local police found him and he came to apologize.. he was coming down the hill and couldn't stop so he plowed right into our mail box and lamp post, dragging our mailbox almost all the way down to our old house. Evidently he had to drop off some building materials to a house down the street and was returning to give me his insurance info when the police found him.. Needless to say I will not be getting you holiday cards on time as I will have to go to the post office to get my mail and well we know how motivated I am to do that. Luckily the nice man moved the lamp post and mail box out of my driveway so I can park in my garage :)

This is how it should look:

This is what I came home to:

Thankfully no one was hurt.. but man what a pain to have to deal with now... Of course it goes to reason that since Dave is out of town this would happen to me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Okay so I know it isn't as personalized as sending a card but its the next best thing :) We just want you to know that we are so thankful for the blessings that have been poured out upon us this year and our family is so grateful for the birth and gift of our Savior Jesus Christ, that He truly is the reason for this season. We pray your holidays are safe and joyous and that the new year brings you and your family wonderful memories.

Today was Jocelyn's big day performing at the Sand Expo Center at their Festival of Trees event. She was very excited all morning to get her costume on and dance. I was really nervous that when we got there she would get scared and wouldn't want to do it. However she surprised me and was a really big girl, once she saw her dance teacher she grabbed her hand and I snuck off to go sit in front of the stage and wait for her to perform. She did a great job and remembered a lot of the steps. After the performance we walked around to look at all the trees. Then as a fun surprise we took Jo and E to Maggie Moos for some ice cream.

Ethan enjoyed seeing sister dance too eventhough he was a stinker for the camera :)

Our Fun Thanksgiving in Vegas !!

We had a blast down in Las Vegas visiting with Doug, Jodi and Fam for a whole week. Of course the weather was much milder than up in Utah so we had to take advantage of that by a nice little night dip in the pool. Jocelyn is getting so big and can now swim with either a noodle or a life vest all by herself. Ethan was pretty content to just let his cousin Maddy take him around the pool. I attempted the pool for oh I would say about 20 minutes but it was a little chilly for my blood. The worst part was getting out in the chilly air, which did result in a few colds (should saw that one coming).

The next day we decided to take advantage of the pool when the sun was out hoping that it would be warmer and we could burn off some of the few thousand extra calories we gained from the yummy feast the night before. Jo was pretty much a fish and took some coaxing to get out of the pool so E could have some time playing with daddy. However once E found the goggles he was content to sit on the steps and look cool. We decided to see if Misha would join in the swimming fun and after a few attempts she jumped right in and I honestly think she quite enjoyed herself.

The next day the boys decided that they wanted to go let off some steam and go shooting in the sand canyons. Figuring this was an event I would usually skip I thought with as little as i get to see my hubby I should take advantage and join him. Jocelyn wanted to try her hand at shooting so after a long safety talk with daddy he helped her shoot a 22. Ethan stayed at the other end of the canyon with me and had a blast throwing rocks and the walls. Dave eventually convinced me to try out his handgun which had a lot more umph than I thought but it was a good opportunity to test it out..probably would have been a little bit easier non-pregnant as the kickback shook my belly a little too much so after about the 4th shot I was done for the day.

To add to all this fun we stuffed our faces on left overs and even found time to take our fam to the movies to see BOLT in 3-D which was a cute movie and I am sure Jo would have enjoyed it more if she hadn't fallen asleep through it. All in all it was a wonderful trip and we are so lucky to have such fun family to spend the holiday with. Thanks Doug and Jodi we love you guys!!
