Happy 1st Birthday Caitlyn!!

Well it finally snuck up on me, Caitlyn had her 1st birthday. We planned a small little family dinner at home and then a little party with cake and ice cream at Dave's Office building. Caitlyn was having a bit of a rough day as she has been teething a lot the last few weeks and is just starting to cut through her top two teeth. We had so much fun with family and friends. The best part as usual at a first birthday party is watching the baby go after the cake. After the cake we cleaned Caitlyn up and let her open her presents (thank you family and friends). It definitely was sensory overload for her but she smiled and went along with it all. Here are some pictures from the party for you to enjoy.

Video of the Yates Traditional Birthday Bear singing for Caitlyn.. She giggled and tried singing with it earlier at dinner but just smiled at it during the party.

A Glow worm from Jocelyn

Ethan got her little farm animal shaped car.

A musical cookie jar with shape blocks from her Grandpa and Grandma Battson in Washington. She really enjoyed the lights and music.

A musical choo- choo from the Barnetts and the Robinsons.

A muscial blender with shape blocks and a spining bottom from her Me-me and Pop- Pop.

A See and Say spinner from her Aunt Dani and Cousins.
She also got a really cute pink jumpsuit from her Grandpa and Grandma Yates.
Now as a 1year old Caitlyn has decided she is going to become a bit more mobile. She is still not walking yet but can go from crawling to sitting straight up to sitting on her knees. She also pulls herself up to standing in her crib and tries to stand up from crawling (however this looks more like a yoga move than standing). She has her 12 month check up on wednesday, so I will update with growth stats then. Caitlyn has really come into her own personality, she is such a social baby and is happy 95% of the time. We are so blessed to have her as apart of our little family.
Happy Birthday to my littlest Princess!

19 weeks and counting...

So technically its not half way there, but given my history we are. I had my Anatomy ultrasound yesterday as well as a consultation appointment with the Perinatologist (i.e. High Risk OB). Other than the long wait everything went great. Preston is still most definitely Preston. He looks perfect in every way, all of his organs were functioning properly and appropriate size. He was sitting breech with his head up by my ribs but with as active as he is I am sure he will move no problem. He weighs around 8 oz. and was measuring right on... so still due August 10th. I met with the perinatologist after the ultrasound and we discussed my current medicines and what we for see happening with this pregnancy. He said although its no guarantee, usually you deliver around the same time as previous deliveries... so that puts me anytime between June 29th (34weeks) - July 20th (37weeks) if history repeats itself. It was nice talking with a dr. that realizes I have done tons of research on my issues and know a lot about the medicines and such that can be used to stop labor. He confirmed that the plans Dr. Noorda and I have for starting the 17-P shots was great but said the brethine and procardia I was on with Caitlyn were not worth the side effects. I totally agree, the itching and racing heart were no fun. He also said if I go into Active labor anytime after 34 weeks they would most likely let me deliver as babies do well at that gestation ( which we experienced with Ethan). All in all it was a very comforting appointment to know that what me and my OB are doing is right on the money and there really isn't anything else we should be doing at this point.

Here are some pictures of Preston's Anatomy from my ultrasound yesterday and a new picture of the growing belly.

Just a few updates..

Caitlyn is 11 months old... I can hardly believe that my little baby is going to be turning 1 year old soon. She is so funny. Here are a few pictures of her newest tricks. I think she is going to be a lot like Ethan and be a little sneaky when it comes to standing or walking as she pretends to have no interest in it right now.

Yep, that is right she has 2 teeth!!! They are hard to see in this picture but it is the best one I have. She absolutely loves eating "big kid" food with the rest of us and we have started to transition her onto regular milk. However, she just dribbles it out so no luck yet.

And since today is my Birthday.... drum roll please........ the big 27

I decided to take a picture of my growing belly. We have decided to name him Preston Everett (The name Everett is my Dad's middle name and My Grandpa Battson's first name). I am starting to feel him move around alot more which is such a comforting feeling. My next appt is with the Perinatologist (i.e. High Risk OB) on March 15th, we have an ultrasound that day so it should be fun to see Preston moving around.
