18 months old!!

Our little Caitlyn (aka- K bear) is officially 18 months old. She is a little ball of fire and has definitely discovered her own independence. She says a few words clearly: mommy, daddy, baby, thank you, peek a boo, yeah, owie, hi, mom, and jojo. She is walking like a pro now and her curiosity is just starting. She likes to play with her brother and sister, occasionally yelling at them for being to rowdy. She is growing and changing so much each day. Here are some pictures of our little toddler tornado.

Random Pictures from this Summer

Since I was taking pictures off my phone, I thought I would post some of our random photos from this summer. Many of them are pictures I sent to Dave while he was out working so he knew what the kids were up to. Enjoy!

2 month Check up

Its crazy that time is going by so quickly, but sure enough, its true, Preston is 2 months old. He is growing and changing so much every day. He is a champion nurser and feeds every 3 hours except at night when he gives mommy 4-5hrs between feedings. He is just starting to smile and make cooing noises however most of them right now are while he is nursing (I guess that's when he is happiest). He is also figuring out that he can roll from his tummy to back during tummy time since he can't stand it after about 5 min. His pediatrician said he is very strong and was amazed at his grip today when he was testing his neck strength. We are all so in love with this little boy and he is really the perfect fit in our family.

^I think this picture looks so much like my Grandpa Battson, Preston's late Great Grandpa.

^ His 2 month stats, he is slowly starting to show up on the growth curve at the Pediatricians office.

Here are a few shots of Preston during his tummy time:

And then there was 2...

Today was Ethan's first day of Preschool... YAY!!! That little boy has so much energy that I have been counting down the days until he started. He goes 3 times a week for 3 hours and I have the two little ones left at home to hang out with while both he and Jocelyn are gone at school.

The first hour of preschool is an activity either swimming, tumbling, movement, or tennis. Then he returns to the actual preschool class for lessons and playtime. Today he had swimming which I was slightly nervous about because of our awful swim lesson experience this summer. However, I was pleased to find out that he participated today and had fun. He said that they learned to "swim" (aka float) on their backs and how to do the rocket. He also told me they colored a Caterpillar (the theme this year is the hungry Caterpillar) and he made friends. I am so glad he enjoyed it and am really looking forward to a little quiet time at home three times a week.

All ready to go!

Preston's Baby Blessing

Preston Everett Yates
Blessed August 29th, 2010 @ 9:00 a.m
Meadows 1st ward in Logan, Utah
So this last Sunday, August 29th we decided to take advantage of the fact that Dave was in town and blessed Preston. We found out on the 23rd that Dave would be flying home for the weekend so, we put in a call to our new bishop to see if we could bless Preston that following Sunday. However, we didn't find out it was okay until the Saturday before, so needless to say it was a mad dash to tell family and friends. Then I was off to find Ethan's blessing suit which I had hung up in the closet for Preston to wear, but when I went to get it it was gone. I searched the house high and low to no success. So we spent our Saturday evening going to Dressed in White to get a new outfit, which I absolutely adore. We were not expecting many to be there on Sunday morning but were blown away by how supportive our family and friends were to just change plans and show up. It was a absolutely wonderful blessing and a little bitter sweet that this was the last baby blessing we would be doing for our little (well I guess big) family. Right after church we headed back to our house for cinnamon rolls and juice to celebrate. Here are a few pictures from that wonderful day.
