Christmas in Washington

Well sure enough Santa found us in Washington and boy did he spoil the kiddos this year. Chirstmas Eve we all opened our traditional set of jammies and then the Jocelyn and Ethan started our new tradition of opening up a special Christmas Eve Story Book. This year they recieved one on Santa's Reindeer.

After Reading their new book the kiddies went off to bed to dream of sugar plums and wait to see what Santa brought them in the morning. Jocelyn was very excited this year and took some coaxing to finally fall asleep. On Christmas morning Grandma and grandpa Battson came downstair to wake the kids up and tell them that Santa had come...

Well I think it is safe to say that Santa over did it this year. After Opening up presents at Grandma and Grandpa house we took everyone and went over to Great Grandma's for the traditional Battson Family Christmas Morning Breakfast..where of course the kids got more presents unfortunately Ethan slept through the whole event. We had a wonderful time in Washington , but think it is safe to say that this was our last year traveling for Christmas as we almost didn't have enough room in the car for all the gifts and luggage and well us of course.

Grandpa's Memorial

December 22nd, 2007 was a bitter sweet occassion as we celebrated the life of my Grandpa Everett Battson who passed away in September and prepared to spend our first Christmas together without him and without my Aunt Clary who passed in October after a second fight with Breast Cancer. Although we will miss them dearly our family knows they are in the loving hands of our Savior and are at Peace.

Merry Christmas from the Yates

In Case yours didn't come in the mail...here is our family Christmas Card and our kids Christmas pictures. We are so blessed to have great friends and family. Hope you have a happy New Year too!!!

Winter Wonderland

Well it wasn't the first snow of the year, but it was the first time we mananged to bundle up the kiddos and head out into the snow for some fun. Ethan was still new to the whole snow idea and found the driveway much more fun than the actual snowy grass (I think he decided this after the face plant in the grass). As you can see we are still working with Jojo to ditch the plug (no success yet).

Yummy Turkey...Thanksgiving 2007

November 22nd, 2007
We had Thanksgiving at our house this year and boy did we have one of the best meals. Turkey, Cheesy Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Candied Yam Casserole, Fried Cream Corn, Rolls, and all the fixings. Hope you had a Great One tooo!!! Here is a few things we are Thankful for...

Great Family

Great Kiddos

Friends and of course we are thankful for many other things in our life. But the best part of the Thanksgiving dinner this year was the dessert courtesy of Kneaders; Jocelyn and Ethan agree with me on that one.

Our Little Photographer

Our Little Jocelyn has discovered a new passion for photography, she took mommy's camera and went to town...what do you think of her collection? I think Santa Clause knows what to get her this year.

Trick Or Treat

October 31st, 2007
We decided to go with "Pest Control" as our theme this year for Halloween. However on Halloween night the temperature was too cold for Amber's Bee costume so she went for the witch instead. The thinking behind it was "the witch hired the Orkin man to help her out with her pest control issue"; We thought it worked well.

Our Little Lady Bug: She loved her costume that her Mimi got her so much that she has been wearing it off and on for a few days now eventhough Halloween is over.

Our Handsome Little Spider: He was so ready to go Trick or Treating, its a good thing we didn't do the house to house thing as he really doesn't think about where he is walking..he just walks. We did do Trunk or Treat and he made out like a bandit.

If you can't tell whose kids these are you must not know us very well. We are starting to believe that the sweet tooth is a genetic disorder passed down from the mothers side :) The two couldn't even wait to get home to crack open the candy.

Witches Night Out

October 20th, 2007
Just having fun with the girls at our Annual Witches Night Out.

Lucky Todd was doing a gig called "Witchapolooza" so he got to see all us girls having a blast :)

First Steps -Sorta

Just in case you missed it...Obviously Dave and I did because when we noticed him walking by himself, it wasn't the usual wobbly walk. We think he has been walking in secret for awhile.
